Membership / Partnership module

The Membership / Partnership module allows businesses to create and manage memberships while offering them through both sales orders and subscription-based products. This makes it easier to treat customers as members and build structured relationships around them.

With this module, businesses can:

• track membership engagement, inactivity, new sign-ups, and churn trends

• monitor renewals and expiration dates

• manage dues and related payments

• communicate with members through targeted emails based on their status

• assign and manage different membership tiers

• organize exclusive events for members

• maintain detailed member lists with contact and profile information

Membership / Partnership module vs. the Membership app

Starting from version 19.0, the standalone Membership app has been replaced by the Membership / Partnership module.

This updated module includes all the core capabilities of the previous app but offers improved integration with other Odoo applications. It also removes the dependency on the Accounting app, making it more flexible for different use cases.

Upgrading to version 19.0 does not impact or remove any existing membership data.

App integrations with the Membership / Partnership module

Once enabled, the module connects seamlessly with several key applications:

• Sales: Sell memberships directly through quotations and orders

• Subscriptions: Manage recurring memberships and automate renewals

• eCommerce: Allow customers to purchase memberships online

In addition, the module supports pricelists, enabling businesses to define pricing rules before selling memberships and apply them afterward as needed.

Activating the module

To enable the Membership / Partnership module:

1. Go to CRM app ‣ Configuration ‣ Settings

2. Locate the CRM section

3. Enable the Membership / Partnership option

4. Click Save

You can also customize the label used for members or affiliates. By default, this is set to Members, but it can be adjusted to better match your business terminology.
